When we sit down to partake of the Lord’s supper, the first thought is the brethren . The Lord is saying to us in effect, ‘What do you think of each other? Do not speak to Me of what you think of Me; what do you think of each other?’ Because in truth every one of us ought to have a judgment about every one ... Whether we are a dozen, or fifty, or one hundred, do we really love each other? because the Lord is saying to us, ‘I am coming to you, but I am not coming to a divided company; I am coming for My own pleasure and My own joy’.
