“COME, LORD JESUS”
Q. Poore
Lord Jesus, come, it is Thy right;
Come in Thy glory, love, and might
To take Thine own, then we shall be
Content for ever Lord, with Thee.
How long, Lord Jesus, till Thou’lt come—
To see Thy face Thy people long—
Thou who hast loved us, made us free,
That Thou might’st claim us, Lord, for Thee;
Till Thou shalt come, with all Thine own,
And shine through all, on Thine own throne,
When all shall see Thy glories beam,
And Thou shalt reign, O Lord, supreme?
E’en now we love Thyself to see,
And by the Spirit near Thee be,
As those who prove His power and love,
His witness to Thyself above.
Lord Jesus, come! E’en so Lord, come
And take us to Thy Father’s home,
To that blest place Thou hast prepared,
His love for ever with Thee shared.
