THE CALL OF LOVE
J. N. Grace
Lord Jesus Christ Thy lovers far and near
All call for Thee.
We long to see Thy face and hear Thy shout
Of victory,
To see Thee as Thou art in glory bright,
The assembly with Thee for Thine own delight.
The universe will then respond with joy
And liberty,
And all with breath will find their blest employ
In praising Thee;
Ten thousand thousand voices join as one
And by Thee rise to worship God alone.
Help us then, Lord, with Thee e’en now to be
With single eye,
‘Midst deep’ning darkness serve Thee faithfully
Where Thou didst die,
Thy suffering love to which we owe our all
Binding together those who on Thee call.
