“OUR SAVIOUR GOD”
Hark to glad tidings of mercy unbounded!
God now invites thee to come and be blest,
Seeks thee in love that no mortal has sounded –
Love that in Jesus is fully expressed.
Hark! for the Father is tenderly speaking,
Graciously waiting to succour thy woe,
Gently the lost and the wanderers seeking –
Peace and forgiveness He longs to bestow.
Hark! for the Saviour, the bountiful Giver,
Pleads from the glory in mercy supreme;
Risen, ascended and strong to deliver,
He from destruction thy life can redeem.
Hark! for the Spirit is patiently striving –
Life-giving Spring of deliverance and joy,
Source of refreshment and power and reviving,
Earnest of blessings that nought can destroy.
Hark! for the Father, the Son and the Spirit –
God in His saving compassion made known –
Urge and entreat thee these joys to inherit:
Come, and salvation may now be thine own!
