“THE ANCIENT PATHS” Jehovah appeals to His erring people in Jeremiah 6: 16, “Ask for the ancient paths, which is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls”. Have any of us left the ancient paths—perhaps brought up in the truth, but having wandered from it? The ancient paths remain. The gospel in all its glory and divine completion remains; the light of it is shining in the face of Jesus. The teaching and fellowship of the apostles remains (Acts 2: 42), and all that Paul ministered remains, to be enjoyed and answered to. The present word of the Lord, and the voice of the Spirit, would call upon us to ask for the ancient paths, the good way, and to walk therein. Thus shall we find rest.
