HEAVEN’S VIEW OF THE WORK In Nehemiah 3 we have the divine record of those who worked in the repair of the ruined wall and gates of Jerusalem. So today heaven takes note of each one who is working to maintain the truth and to hold to divine principles. The record in Nehemiah tells us who worked, where they worked, what they did, and in some cases how they did it—one man is said to have “earnestly repaired” not only one piece, but a second piece of the wall. Wherever the Lord has set you—perhaps in a very isolated position—His eye is upon you approvingly as He sees you committed to this labour. He knows every detail of the circumstances and the tests, maybe the opposition, which you face, and would strengthen you to work on, “knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord”, 1 Corinthians 15: 58.
