“THE NIGHT ALSO IS THINE” (Psalm 74: 16)

We are to experience this as we face sorrow or adversity. Things are not out of control. God’s hand is as sure, and His ordering as real, in the night as in the day. At night Israel would see the pillar of fire—evidence that God was near, watching over His people. At midnight Paul and Silas in praying were praising God with singing. In such circumstances we are to learn that God is surely working out His plans. It is night in the history of the testimony, but God is operating to secure a full answer to His choicest purposes for His people.
