ANOTHER DAY What a wonderful thing each new day is! Another day in which to commit ourselves to the will of God, and in which to have the high privilege of prayer, and communion with Him. A fresh day to praise Him for all His grace and mercy. Another day in which He may have pleasure in our lives, and some fruit and fragrance from them. Another day in which the life of Jesus can be manifested in the lives of His own, affording comfort to the saints and testimony to men. Another day in which to learn more of Christ and all that centres in Him, and to be formed by it. Another day to take up the usual routines and responsibilities—‘The daily round, the common task’—and to carry them out as to the Lord, so that there is a yield to Him from it. Another day to be conscious of a thousand mercies from a Father’s hand, and joyfully

to thank Him for them, and, if there be chastening and affliction, to experience in them the tenderness of our Father’s faithful love, the grace of our Lord Jesus, and the Holy Spirit’s comfort.
