Naaman had to learn the great lesson of the ways of God in death; he had to face death; and no one is of value in the service of God unless he faces this great question of death. Naaman went down into Jordan and plunged seven times, and “his flesh became again like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean”. If every one had the flesh of a little child there would never be a cause of sorrow to our brethren, or a dishonour to God.
