“THE WITNESSES OF JESUS” (Revelation 17: 6)
This choice title is applied to faithful saints in the section of the Revelation dealing with the terrible period of the tribulation. As evil reaches its climax in the great harlot and the beast, there will be martyrs in whom shines a true representation of the precious and holy character of the life of Jesus. God will delight in having the moral continuance of the Man of His pleasure in the darkest day. There could be no greater privilege for us in our responsible lives than to be among those whom heaven can designate as “the witnesses of Jesus”.
‘NATURE ITSELF TEACHES’
Walking through a park recently I was taught two lessons. First, as a downy feather drifted in the breeze, a sparrow snapped it up, and was off to her nest with it. So let us be concerned to gather up spiritual impressions and substance that will help to make our local meetings better furnished spiritually. Then there was a starling rummaging at the bottom of a deep wire refuse basket. So, if we find ourselves in circumstances which are limited and unattractive, let us be alert to find the supplies of comfort and grace that the Lord would surely place for us in that very situation.
