LONDON, FEBRUARY 28TH, 1882

[^[p. 222] H M Hooke] MY DEAR BROTHER, — I can only write a line to acknowledge your kind letter and to thank the dear brethren who remember me. I am very low, but very peaceful and happy, and still continue to labour at tracts and small papers, etc. But sleep is a dreadful assailant except at night. I judge it was my fall at Dundee which brought my state to this. I have been writing on Propitiation which the Swedes are in trouble about,⁺ and Philadelphia which has troubled the brethren, but both very short. Kindest love to the brethren.
