EXTRACTS
We have already quoted the saying from one of the Lord’s servants, ‘Go on, go on, go on’.
That is the word in service, Go on. Elijah gave up. He fled for his life. Why should he flee for his life? The Lord Jesus laid down His life for his enemies.

‘I am reading Corinthians and we see that long hair is not only “glory to her”, but it is “given to her”—it is a gift. So what are we doing with what God has given us? Do we value it? Years ago sisters were exercised about the token and we spoke about it together. I was helped by seeing that Paul is speaking to “the assembly of God which is in Corinth with all that in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”, which would mean that every sister should have long hair and should wear a token on her head’.
(Extract from a recent letter from a sister)
Many a one who fully believes in justification by faith finds, to the pain and sorrow of his conscience, that he has no control over the flesh, and that he is continually led by it; and this is because he does not believe that the Holy Spirit is the One who would now dwell in his body, to rule and order it for Christ.
J. B. Stoney (Vol. 9, p.343)
I do not know that there is any experience so precious as the experience of knowing Christ as sustaining you in superiority to every adverse power ... You find the antagonism of Satan all the time if you are true to Christ. Affection induces separation. The heart is separate on account of Christ being away. You must be separate from that from which He is separated.
The real point here is, “Lord, if it be thou, command me to come to thee upon the waters”. Then the Lord shows how you will be supported. You can hardly explain how it happens, but it does happen.
