BOUGHT WITH A PRICE
J. D. Stenhouse
Lord, we are not our own,
And here would own Thy name,
Where Thou didst walk unique, alone,
In such reproach and shame.
Constrained by love so pure,
With joy we tread the way,
In righteousness we would endure,
Stand in the evil day.
Empowered by strength divine,
And faith, we do not fear;
As lumin’ries would seek to shine
Amid the darkness here.
How precious to us now
The bonds of Thine own love;
Thy peace doth fill us as we bow
To Thee our Lord above.
As vessels sanctified,
Our true desire would be
In Thy blest service to abide
Until we are with Thee.
