therefore, beloved, know what it is to be doorkeepers. What a

needed work it is at the present moment, under His direction,

under the direction of the Master, because we love Him.

He is coming very soon and what a privilege it is for us who

partake of the Supper Lord’s day by Lord’s day. According to 1

Corinthians 11 it is in the setting of “until he come”. It gives us

an impression that the journey is soon to be over, it will soon

be completed. Then there will be no need for workmen as

such, but in the present time let us with resolve of heart

commit ourselves unreservedly to this great work that is

proceeding. As under the hand of the Master let us fulfil that

word of the beloved apostle, “Let each see how he builds”.

The foundation that Paul laid was Jesus Christ and none

other, and to that Man, that glorious Man, beloved, be all the

glory. May God bless the word, for His name’s sake.
