EXTRACT

I had the great privilege of contact with beloved J. B. Stoney in my early days, and I am sure his personal influence and his ministry affected me very much, and gave a character to my exercises which they would not otherwise have had. But while saying this I can only feel humbled that I had not more devotedness and spiritual energy to follow up what he presented so earnestly to the hearts of the saints. His last words to me, when I saw him just before his departure, were, ‘Follow Him adoringly’. They came to me with much power, for it was just what he had done himself.
