HEAVEN’S JOY
Composed by a sister who wishes to be anonymous
What joy it will be to see Jesus at last
When the journey is ended, the wilderness past;
To gaze on Himself, and to hear His blest voice,
Whose love, so well known, makes our hearts to rejoice.
To join with the myriads surrounding the throne,
Crying, ‘Worthy the Lamb who for sins did atone;
For He has redeemed us to God by His blood,
And made us a kingdom, and priests to His God’.
And what will Thy joy be, Lord Jesus, to see Thy church all complete, and in glory with Thee? The one whom Thou lovest, for whom Thou hast died, Presented all-glorious and spotless—Thy bride.
