EDITOR’S NOTE

In the July edition, we included an extract from FER Letters page 308 which included the words 'otherwise the Spirit must have remained in the Deity'.  For the avoidance of doubt, it is clear that the thought in mind was that if the Holy Spirit had not descended on Christ at His baptism, He, the Spirit, would have remained in heaven.  There is no thought that the Holy Spirit in any sense laid aside deity in descending as a dove and abiding on the Lord Jesus.
