I took up, or rather sought to bring out, the glory of Christ as presented in the gospels of Matthew, Luke and John — official as connected with the assembly and the kingdom in Matthew 16 — moral as connected ^[p. 72] with the administration of grace to men, and His service in heaven in Luke (Luke 12); and personal (the Son in distinction to the Father) in John. You may well suppose the handling was poor enough, but I trust it may serve to excite more interest in the Scripture, and lead to increased knowledge of the Lord.
