child. She says, “then I will give him to Jehovah all the days of
his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head”. That is
another feature and characteristic that marks holy women.
They are thinking of the continuance of the testimony. That is
what we have here; Samuel is brought in, and then after
Samuel we find David is brought into view. May we think of the
testimony, and its continuance, so that the true David is
brought into view.
May we be encouraged by these things and take on these
characteristics that mark holy women.
No doubt there are other features that mark holy women, but
these are just a few. These things were seen in our sister.
Think of the Lord Jesus drawing near to her and gently
causing her to sleep. She along with the many who have gone
before, the dead in Christ, and along with those that remain,
will very soon hear that voice of power. O, dear brethren, let us
take on these features and continue till the end, until we hear
that voice of power. May it be so, for His name’s sake.
