Oh how wide becomes our range
Then there are the things we hear,
Good report from far and near.
As we happy thoughts exchange.
Other gracious thoughts are there,
Virtues rich that we may share;
Think on these things and thus know
Joys which earth can ne’er bestow.
All these precious features spring,
From the secret source within,
Known to those who love the Lord,
And believe His faithful word.
As God’s people meet and part,
May His love so fill each heart
That we may His features trace
‘Mongst His own through wondrous grace.
Help us, Lord, our thoughts to train,
Thus to reap eternal gain,
Blessedness e’en now to know
In our walk and ways below.
