I think holding the Head arises from the way you come to know the Lord. It does not come to you in a formal way, it comes to you gradually. The Lord endears Himself to your heart, so that gradually you come to give Him His place; in time it dawns upon you that it is wise to do so. You find things go right that way. Wisdom is a great thought in headship.
