ARE YOU CONVERTED?

Are you sure you’ve been converted?

Oh, please listen to my cry!

For this question’s so important

That you dare not pass it by.

Have you had your own transaction

With the Lord, whose work is done?

Can you say, ‘He died to save me,

And I look for Him to come’?

Have your sins been all forgiven?

Has God put them all away?

Or is there still doubt and darkness

In your mind and soul each day?

Have you God’s own Holy Spirit?

Does He now abide in you?

Do be honest; don’t evade things,

For God knows if you are true.

If you’ve asked Him for the Spirit,

And He dwells in liberty,

You can say with full conviction,

‘Yes. He now abides in me’.

Then you have the blessed portion

Of God’s love now shed abroad

In your heart, and say with gladness,

‘I’ve a link with Christ my Lord’.
