shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come; and
I will fill this house with glory, saith Jehovah of hosts. The
silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith Jehovah of hosts”.
“The silver is mine”. Oh the preciousness of the redemptive
work of Christ! “The gold is mine”—think of the divine glory; it
appears in the hearts of His people.
Are you part of the choiceness of the silver? Is there the
preciousness of the work of God going on in your soul, and is
it contributive to the work of Christ in New York or in the place
where you come from? The Lord is exercising our hearts, I
believe, to be contributive to what is for Christ in our places.
So “The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the
former, saith Jehovah of hosts; and in this place will I give
peace”. Oh, what a word!
May the peace of Christ, dear brethren, preside in our hearts
as we commit ourselves and devote ourselves to our glorious,
living Lord in heaven and seek by the Spirit’s power to
maintain the precious truth that has been committed into our
hands in the light of the testimony of the Lord, until He comes,
for His name’s sake.
