Well, it was God’s thought to have not only one Person of this

wonderful character, but He would have many such, bringing

many sons to glory, bringing many such who would

correspond to these blessed features of our Lord. I have been

very much touched by the thought, “such as the heavenly one,

such also the heavenly ones” (1 Corinthians 15: 48); they are

after His pattern. Well, I do not have to say any more. I just

wish to share this impression I have had, with the wish, and

with a prayer in my heart to our blessed God, that I might

correspond fully to this blessed pattern of our Lord, and be one

of those of whom we read here—“Blessed are the perfect in

the way, who walk in the law of Jehovah. Blessed are they that

observe his testimonies, that seek him with the whole heart;

Who also do no unrighteousness; they walk in his ways”. May

we be such, beloved brethren, such as correspond to these

beautiful and God-pleasing features which are fully

exemplified, fully presented, to us in our blessed Lord. May it

be so for His name’s sake.
