faith, in your hearts, being rooted and founded in love, in order
that ye may be fully able to apprehend with all the saints
…”. These wonderful verses run on to glory to God in the
assembly. How glorious is the head-stone! Let us make sure,
beloved brethren, that we have in view the whole thing, the
vastness, the universality; of what the assembly is, the glory of
it. Let it not be broken in our view. Let us think of the assembly
in a universal aspect, think of what it is for Christ, what it is for
God, a habitation of God in the Spirit. “He shall bring forth the
head-stone with shoutings—Grace, grace unto it!” How
wonderful to be in this finishing time of grace, beloved
brethren, making much of Christ, and of the assembly. May we
be alert and energetic in helping it forward, for His name’s
sake.
