beloved Son for us, that we might never have to bear our guilt.
He bore it in all its unspeakable reality when forsaken by His
God upon the cross, and we trust in His precious blood for our
redemption. What a Saviour! and what He has brought to us
through His death, resurrection, and ascension, being raised
to the Father’s throne—blessed, glorious, living Lord! How
soon we may be with Him, but for a little while we can be more
than ever free in our spirits to find our part with Him where He
now is.

What ways God has for each one of us! But what love He has
for us! The work goes on, soon to come forth in its own
reflection of Christ as He has been formed in each one of us.
How real it is just to rest in what He is doing, not showing us
all at once, but staying with us to give grace for what otherwise
we should be unable for.

How touching it is to think that all the work has been done, and
Jesus lives, our glorious Saviour, and He keeps us now in this
present time, protected and blest until He comes.

… the standard is really the Lord’s rights in all things. Do you
feel sometimes that it is a challenge to us as to how far we
have the Lord’s rights before us in our lives? But we go on
praying that He will keep His way of love before us, and so
keep us dependent. What a Saviour!
