DECEMBER 7TH, 1928

DEAR —, — ... I feel increasingly the value of the prayers of those who love God. I often wonder where I should have got to but for the prayers of the saints, and, above all, the ^[p. 176] prevailing intercession of our blessed Priest on high. And one has thought that as passing years tend to diminish physical strength there is all the more need for increasing spiritual power. It would be a pity to drop down to the level of enfeebled nature in advancing years, but this would be inevitable if spiritual resources were not available. So let us pray more than ever as the years go swiftly by!
