Hymn 234 — O Lord, we joy that Thou art glory-crowned,
| 234 | C. MULLER from German | 10.10.10.10. |
| 1 |
O Lord, we joy that Thou art glory-crowned, Who by Thy death to God hast brought us nigh; In Thee alone is our forgiveness found, And everlasting praises rise on high.
| 2 |
We praise Thee, for Thou didst in death lay down Thy precious life, an off'ring once for all; For ever cleansed by blood, our joy and crown We owe to Thee, and thus before Thee fall.
| 3 |
We bless Thee, glorious Lord; Thou risen art; And we, set free from sin and death, rejoice To know in Thee, in life, our endless part, As with adoring thoughts our praise we voice.
| 4 |
Soon Thou art coming, Lord; we wait for Thee! Soon all Thine own shall meet Thee in the air, And we shall dwell with Thee eternally, All changed, and like to Thee, Thy place to share.
