Hymn 400 — God manifest in flesh, O wonder of His universe!
| 400 | J. PELLATT | 14.14.14.14. |
| 1 |
God manifest in flesh, O wonder of His universe! O wisdom all divine! that takes such blessed, lowly ways To bring to pass its holy purposes in counsels deep, That God may find a full response in worship and in praise.
| 2 |
What mutual glory, known between the Father and the Son, Where holy love in all its secret intercourse holds sway! The Father's bosom its own sphere, where ever dwelleth One Who fully answers to that love throughout th'eternal day.
| 3 |
And by the Spirit's power the Father's love e'en now we know Within us; with the Son, its Object, ever to abide; And the affections of the saints well forth in ceaseless flow, Filled in the ocean of that love, a never-ebbing tide.
