Hymn 283 — As in Thy presence, Lord, our spirits free,
| 283 | W. C. POWELL | 10.10.10.10. |
| 1 |
As in Thy presence, Lord, our spirits free, Thy brethren now respond with joy to Thee; We answer to Thy call in kinship's place, And near to Thee we know Thine own embrace.
| 2 |
"My brethren" -- Lord, these precious words are Thine. What glorious thoughts now flow in light divine, As, in this nearness, yielding Thee Thy joy, We raise our song to Thee -- our blest employ!
| 3 |
We praise Thee, blessed Lord; our souls would move With joy to answer to Thy precious love. We taste of heav'nly joys with Thee -- how blest! Thine own heart satisfied, and ours at rest.
